No More Boring Nails – 10 Nail Colors To Try This Spring

03.16.20Fashion, Lifestyle6

For me, going to the nail salon is a wonderful, relaxing experience. You show up, pick out a color, and someone else shapes, buffs, files, and trims your nails, while you lie back, completely untroubled. I have been routinely getting my nails done since graduating college. I look forward going every other week. It is my “me” time.

I was an avid nail biter for my whole childhood and teenage life. I knew when it was time to be an adult I had to stop biting my nails. Since routinely getting my nails done, the nail biting has stopped. I also feel so much more polished and put together when my nails are done.

Basically, I love getting my nails done. However, I feel like this winter I have gotten in a rut of more boring color choices. Leaning towards the same color pallets and shades. When spring is right around the corner, I thought it would be a perfect time to spruce up my nail game and introduce some fun colors!

Here are the hottest nail trends I have found for this spring, and I can’t wait to try them all!

Bubblegum Pink

Kiss Me I’m Brazilian

This one is a no brainer for me because pink nails are my favorite. I usually go towards a more baby pink or pastel, but seeing this bubblegum color I am ALL ABOUT IT!

Orange

No Tan Lines

This color just screams spring in my book, and I think it is so fun! I have done an orange shade before, but nothing this bright. I think this would make me look super tan too!

Lilac

Do You Lilac It?

Another color that I often find myself leaning towards at the nail salon. I don’t wear a lot of purple, but for some reason I think it looks great on your nails. This lilac is just the prettiest shade anyway!

Mint/Sage Green

That’s Hula-arious!

If you know anything about me, you know that green is not my color. I barely have any green in my closest, but for some reason Pinterest really had me going with this shade. I don’t think it screams green, but I could totally manage this for two weeks! I might even surprise myself!

Yellow

Never a Dulles Moment

Now I am not talking about highlighter yellow – even though if that is your shade you go girl. I am talking about this pastel, pale yellow. I think it is so unique and would be pretty. I love yellow, it is a color that makes me happy, so why not have it on your nails?

Cream

Bare My Soul

I rarely have a neutral color on my nails. I definitely lean more towards the fun colors, but however this looks extremely classy. I might just have to try it!

Baby Blue

Dreams Need Clara-fication

Another color completely out of my comfort zone. For some reason I have never had blue nails. My eyes just naturally go towards the pinks, purples, and reds. But again, I am up to try anything!

Bright Red

Red Heads Ahead

Red is always a go to color for me. However I usually stick to it during the holidays – Christmas, Valentine’s Day, 4th of July. I think red nails are sassy! So I am definitely going to try to incorporate more red at my bi-weekly nail salon visits!

White

Funny Bunny

How many influencers have you seen on Instagram with “Funny Bunny” on their nails? I feel like that is all they wear. But hey, it always looks good, so I guess I am getting influenced by influencers?

Fuchsia Pink

V-I Pink Passes

During the springtime, I lean more towards the pastel colors. I usually go with bold darker colors during the colder months. However, this fuchsia is so fun! I love how bold it is. I have strawberry margarita on my fingers now and I am LOVING it!

Do you like to change up your nail color or do you have the same color all the time?
