They’ll be parties for hosting, cocktails for toasting, and caroling sung way out of key this holiday season. No better way that to get in the festive spirit than with a Christmas cocktail.
Something about making a fun festive cocktail gets you in the holiday spirit! There are also so many holiday parties this time of year that you could always use a new fresh cocktail idea.
I listed out 15 of my favorite or recipes I am trying this December so we can all drink festively this season!
Pomegranate and Rosemary Gin Fizz Cocktail
This Pomegranate and Rosemary Gin Fizz is so crisp and refreshing, not to mention perfectly beautiful! I switch out the sparkling water for Prosecco and it takes it up a notch. I am actually making this for a little Christmas get together I am hosting this weekend! (Via Creative Culinary)
Gingerbread Martini
Everyone has a certain flavor that reminds them of Christmas. From peppermint to eggnog, but for me it is gingerbread. This martini looks just too yummy. Not mandatory, but highly suggested to serve with a little gingerbread man cookie. (Via Eat Drink Love)
Christmas Margarita
A festive twist on the classic margarita with cranberry and pomegranate. Adding cranberry and pomegranate to this margarita recipe will help bring it from Summer to Christmas. (Via Weekend Crate)
Peppermint Espresso Martini
Espresso martinis are the “it” drink lately. Add a little Christmas spirit and make it a peppermint espresso martini by adding Kahlúa Peppermint Mocha. I will be making this one this December! (Via Inspired By Charm)
White Christmas Mojito
Combining my two favorite things Christmas and beach vacation vibes – this White Christmas Mojito does just that! It’s still got the rum, mint, and lime that makes it more of a traditional mojitos but with coconut milk and pomegranate added in for a magical holly-berries-on-snow look. (Via Lulus)
Santa Clausmopolitans
Carrie Bradshaw in a Christmas cocktail. If you are looking for something that isn’t overly sweet this holiday season, this cocktail is for you! With cranberry, triple sec, and lime juice, it will make the perfect tart drink to sip on while wrapping presents. (Via Delish)
Gingerbread Whiskey Sour
I had one of these at the Nutcracker Popup and immediately went home to figure out how to make one for myself because it was so so good! This drink is easy enough to make at home, but looks super fancy so you feel like you are at a fancy bar! (Via The Wholesmiths)
Spiced Cranberry Paloma
Cranberries are always a festive flavor and they pair perfect with cocktails. Adding a spiced simple syrup makes this cocktail super festive and cozy. Spiced simple syrup, made with sugar, water, whole cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla bean and is easy to make and adds the perfect flavor punch that this cocktail really needs. (Via Joy + Oliver)
Pomegranate Mimosa
A must on Christmas day in the Bakkum household. Take your average mimosa and add some Christmas spirit and swap the OJ for pomegranate juice. Be extra festive and top with fresh pomegranate seeds and rosemary. (Via Fresh Coast Eats)
Spicy Sweet Grinch Cocktail
Keeping things festive and fun with my Spicy Sweet Grinch Cocktail. Vodka mixed with fresh lime juice, a squeeze of grapefruit juice, spicy jalapeños, and topped off with ginger beer. It’s a touch of sweet and a little bit spicy…perfectly fitting for “the Grinch”. (Via Half Baked Harvest)
Cranberry Moscow Mule
One of my go to cocktails (and my best friend Kaitlin’s) is a mule. Nothing is more refreshing than one! Add a little Christmas spice by adding cranberry juice. This is the perfect holiday cocktail for hosting because they are so easy to make! Be sure to garnish with fresh cranberries! (Via Spoonful of Flavor)
Sugar Cookie Martini
Who doesn’t love a Christmas cookie? Why not make an adult version and try this sugar cookie martini – of course you need the sprinkle rim! This would make for the perfect dessert drink for your holiday parties! (Via Wholefully)
Classic Eggnog
When it comes to eggnog you either like it or really really hate it. I am kind of in the middle, but I think it is just a classic holiday drink so I always try to have at least one! The best part about eggnog is that you don’t have to add alcohol, and I usually prefer it without the whiskey. But this recipe claims to be the best, so maybe I’ll give it a shot! (Via Delish)
Jingle Juice
Looking for a large batch cocktail to make this holiday season, I got you covered. Jingle Juice is probably the easiest cocktail to make. Just throw all ingredients in a bowl, stir and serve! It is as simple as that! (Via Delish)
Mulled Wine
We all know the best part of the Christkindlmarket is the mulled wine, so why not make your own at home!? Heat red wine with festive spices like nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon. Add some honey to sweeten and you will instantly be transported to a German Christmas market. (Via Cookie + Kate)
Which one are you most excited to try this holiday season!?
