Candy Corn Snack

10.10.19Brews & Bites4

There are two types of people in the world. Ones that are crazy about candy corn, and some that absolutely do not like it. I am lucky and fall somewhere in the middle. I neither love candy corn, nor hate it. However, during this time of year, it is everywhere. Candy corn is a symbol of all things fall and Halloween.

I have to give this snack idea to one of my sorority sister’s mom – Mrs. Bubik. She introduced me to this candy corn snack in college, and my family has been hooked ever since. She brought it to a Purdue football tailgate, and I swear I didn’t leave the bowl the whole time. Then her mom would send her daughter and I boxes of it to eat the whole fall semester. It was that good.

This candy corn snack is perfect for pretty much any occasion. Great for tailgates, fall parties, halloween parties, really anything. During this time of year, we just keep a bowl out of it on the counter for a quick grab and go treat. Mitch isn’t really a big fan of candy corn, but he really enjoy this snack.

The candy corn snack is really just two ingredients together, but it makes the perfect balance of salty and sweet. All you do it put 50% candy corn and 50% peanuts in a bowl. I almost feel silly typing this out, but trust me. It is so good and practically addicting.

If you have ever had a PayDay candy bar, I am told it tastes exactly the same. But trust me when I say, this is will be crowd pleaser at any party. You might be surprised even if you are that person that really doesn’t like candy corn.

Let me know, if you try this snack, and tag me @basicallyb__ on Instagram and @basicallybblog on Facebook if you do!
