A Step In The Stripe Direction

Happy Friday Y’all! We made it through yet another week! My weekend will be full of watching Mitch at the races, shopping with my good friend and bomb ass female jockey, Chantal, and watching the Saints game. Who Dat! I have a feeling if the Saints win, the whole city of New Orleans might burn down.

But I had to tell you guys about my latest Marshall’s find because I am so high key obsessed with this jacket that I will be wearing all the time. Especially while New Orleans is in this little slump of colder weather. This jacket is made by Max Studio, however I got it for a steal at Marshalls for under $50!

First of all, can we talk about the color? It has all of my favorite shades of pink in the color blocking. This jacket will be great to transition into spring. I love incorporating bright colors in my wardrobe, so when I spotted this jacket from across the store I bee-lined over to it because it screams Britt.

The material is a nice wool that will keep you cozy in chilly temperatures. I can tell it is real wool because it is slightly itchy, but just layer with a long sleeve and you will be good. I styled mine with a white tank and I didn’t even notice the wool material and it did not bother me.

Another reason why I love this jacket is that it is versatile and you can dress it up or down. For this look I went more casual. I paired it with a simple basic white tank from Zara, my Seven For All Mankind jeans with a little fray at the bottom, and then another Marshall’s steal, my light pink booties. I spruced it up a little with some tassel earrings from Bauble Bar to complete the look.

You can easily throw this jacket on over a simple shift dress and add a pair of heels and you’re ready to go for date night or a night out with the girls. I have a feeling that this jacket will be a staple of mine when Mitch and I are in Kentucky for the month of April. It would look great at the races at Keeneland.

Have a great weekend! Cheers!
