Like most people this weekend, they will not have a chance to see their mom this Mother’s Day. If you know anything about me, you know that my mom is my absolute best friend. This Mother’s Day will be extremely hard because I won’t have the chance to squeeze her and spend the day with her.
So if you are lucky enough to be quarantining with your mom, make sure you give her some extra loving this Sunday, you are honestly so lucky.
However, just because I won’t physically be with my mom this Sunday, you know I am going to try to make it the most special day I can.
Also don’t forget about your grandmas either! They are very special people too!
Send a handwritten card
There is something about a snail mail handwritten card that gives you all the feels. I personally love receiving cards in the mail and I know my mom does too.
This is a simple thing that goes a long way. Make sure to add a meaningful note in the card. I promise if your mom opens a handwritten card from you, it will make her smile and feel special.
Don’t forget about Grandma during this one! The older generations love cards, so this is an easy way to show love to your grandma on Mother’s Day too!
Send flowers or something small and meaningful
I can’t express what I sent my mom for Mother’s Day because I know she will be reading this exact post, and I don’t want to ruin the surprise for her!
However, I always think a meaningful gift is the way to go on Mother’s Day! Something that reminds you of your mom, or something you know she will think is special!
There’s so many options out there for Mother’s Day gifts that is beyond flowers. It is a little late to order something now since Mother’s Day is just 4 days away, but Amazon Prime may be your best friend!
Here are some great gift ideas that are on Amazon Prime! Click each image to shop!
However, flowers are also the way to go! Flowers make anyone smile, and any home brighter and happier, especially during this time!
Another great option is food. Send her chocolate covered strawberries, a fun food bouquet, spices, or anything you know your mom likes!
Call/Facetime her
This is a no brainer! If you do not call your mother on Mother’s Day, that is so wrong! After all of the things they do for you, they at least deserve a phone call.
I personally call my mom on average 2-3 times a day! We just talk all the time, but even if you don’t have that relationship with your mom that is ok! Just put in some extra effort on this day to make them feel special!
This Mother’s Day will be hard for a lot of people, especially me being so far away from my mom! But if you put in some effort, you know these ladies will feel loved and special.
