Hot sticky summer weather has officially arrived (in Kentucky at least!) I’ve been getting a few questions from you guys on insta stories lately on my favorite summer staples to help you keep cool when the temperatures spike, and it has been hot and humid here. So I have been getting creative on how to stay cool.
I’m rounding up a few of my favorite hot weather outfits below that anyone can recreate.
A WHITE, FLOWY MAXI
You can never go wrong with white in the summertime! Especially light fabrics like this dress. It is so breezy and could be worn to so many occasions. Get yourself a lightweight maxi to survive this summer!
A BREEZY OFF THE SHOULDER DRESS
I love off the shoulder dresses because they are often just as comfortable as t-shirt dresses, but they look so much cuter and more polished! I like to go for loose, short styles, because they are definitely the coolest and they basically feel like you’re wearing nothing!
A LINEN JUMPSUIT
Linen is such a breezy, cool fabric. I am finding myself always grabbing linen items when the temperatures are scorching.
DENIM SHORTS AND CROP TOP
Such a classic combo. I love these mom fit denim shorts. They are long enough to cover the booty, and are super comfortable. This top is so extremely lightweight and the sleeves are just too fun! White is always a great color to grab when the temps are on the rise!
STRAPLESS ROMPER
I personally love strapless tops! I think my shoulders are one of my best features, and strapless tops shows them off. Rompers are so easy to throw on in the summer. I love a good cotton material that will keep you cool.

PAPER BAG SHORTS AND BODY SUIT
Something about paper-bag shorts that are so flattering. I love them as a dressy option when wearing shorts. These tie-dye ones are super on trend this summer. Bodysuits are great for summer because they suck everything in and create a seamless look.
HALTER ROMPER AND SNEAKERS
I love this polkadot romper–nothing says summer quite like polkadots (and, um, rompers?!) Pair them with classic, comfy wedges and you’ll be able to go from day to night in all of 5 seconds.
What’s your favorite breezy outfit combo to wear in this heatstroke???
