No matter your Feb. 14th plans, you shouldn’t have to worry about your outfit. Whether you are making plans with girlfriends, waiting to see if the guy you’ve seen a few times is going to ask you to be his Valentine, if you are navigating Valentine’s Day alone—I am here to make sure you are dressed for the part!
Valentine’s Day is no ordinary day, and you probably want to take a step up from your average go-tos in your closet—even if you’re just having a night in with the girls. I get that not everyone is all pink and red, like I am. So how do you dress for Valentine’s Day without feeling cheesy?
Touches of red and pink, and you might a well throw in a heart accessory to feel a little festive. I put together outfit ideas for every Valentine’s Day occasion you have coming up in February.
Valentine’s Day Outfit Inspo For Every Occassion
Galentine’s Brunch
Heading out for bottomless mimosas with the girlies? Bright pink and feathers is the way to go! Brunch is all about having fun, so make sure your outfit is fun too!
Girl’s Night Out
We all love a GNO! When it comes for finding a GNO fit you have to make sure you can dance in your fit. bodysuit + jeans is a classic combination that works almost every time. Add a little V-day flair and make it a pink or red body suit, or throw on some heart shaped earrings.
For A Dinner Date
A jumpsuit is a great dinner date fit option. They are basically fancy pajamas! They are so comfy (so you can eat all the yummy food), and they make your legs look AMAZING! I love this fun pepper one with the pink and red combo! To make it a little more casual throw a leather jacket over your shoulders and a fun heel.
Date Night At Home
Sometimes date night at home is just the best! Managing to get the perfect reservation, or fighting the crowds sometimes takes the fun out of spending time with your love. Try cooking a new recipe at home, or ordering your favorite take out and cuddling up with a movie. Or if you are flying solo this Valenetine’s Day and ordering a heart shaped pizza and curling up (probs will be me!). Comfy is the name of the game. An oversized sweater and leather leggings will always be my number 1 choice for date night at home.
For A Fancy Date Night
On the contrary, dressing up and splurging for a night can be so fun! It is one of my favorite things to do (you know I love a reason to celebrate). Let’s say your man planned a special night for Valentine’s Day. Sometimes that is the hardest to dress for. So my rule of thumb is to wear something that you feel beautiful in. For me that is dresses, but there is also a foot of snow on the ground. So a sweater dress and booties will get the job done!
