Hot, boozy drinks are one of my favorite things come during this time of the year where it is too cold to even think about going outside. So in the spirit of the snow storm on it’s way I found a whole winter’s worth of drinks to get you through dinner parties, quiet nights at home, and outdoor excursions. It’s definitely time to invest in some good glassware because these hot drinks are a must-try!
My Favorite Hot Drinks Accessories
Rumchata Hot Chocolate
This sounds like a match made in heaven. Rumchata has been having it’s moment for a few years now, and I am honestly shocked I am now just seeing it combined with hot chocolate!
Hot Toddy
A Hot Toddy is as classic as they come. The perfect drink to sip on when you’re feeling under the weather or on a chilly Sunday afternoon.
Red Wine Hot Cocoa
My two favorite things put together into one big hot cocktail for winter, what could be better? I will 1,000% be trying this ASAP! Stay tuned for a review!
Irish Coffee
Top this classic hot drink of whiskey-spiked coffee with a homemade brown sugar whipped cream so extra goodness. I am not a whiskey fan, but if you are then I found the warm boozy drink for you!
Mulled Wine
In the summer, nothing beats an ice cold sangria. Make it a winter version, and you have yourself a cup of mulled wine. Whether you’re hosting girl’s night in or cozying up to Netflix and chill, this easy mulled wine recipe is the perfect adult beverage to cozy up with.
Hot Buttered Rum
If you’ve ever wondered what butterbeer tastes like, I imagine it’s something like this. You don’t have to be a wizard to make this hot alcoholic beverage though.
Chai Hot Toddy
I saw this one pop up, and y’all know I am a huge chai fan! Hot chocolate and traditional toddies get a lot of play during the holidays, but don’t sleep on chai. It’s spicy, sweet, and can really liven up a party. I can’t wait to try this one!
Andes Mint HotChata
For me, once December and the holidays are over I put all peppermint and candy canes aside. But for some reason I can get behind this minty hot chocolate cocktail. It may taste innocent, but there’s a lot of booze in there!
Mulled Reisling
A pot of mulled wine in the slow cooker will make your house smell like a cinnamon-orange candle. Plus this hot cocktail recipe looks like it tastes amazing – sign me up!
