It is no lie that I am a beer girl – especially craft beer. One of my favorite things to do is to try new breweries. I think breweries have the best vibe and I love trying a flight and seeing what unique beers they have. Illinois has a booming craft beer scene. The state of Illinois has approx 167 breweries and counting.
I will now be accepting applications for a brewery buddy to try them all out with me! I have had a long list of breweries I have been wanting to try on my phone for awhile now. Slowly but surely, I have been crossing them off one by one. I figured I would put my list together in a guide so you too can visit the many breweries of Illinois. I have broken my guide down to the city breweries and suburb breweries.
So next time you are wanting to drink local and check out a new spot, just refer back here to my brewery guide!
Cheers!

[…] Nothing will warm you up quite like sipping on a few beers at a brewery. To make this date even more interesting, sign up for a tour. Most places offer free tours, but if not, tickets are typically pretty affordable and usually come with a free beer or samples. You’ll learn all about the process of making the beer and the history of the company you’re visiting. I think brewery tours are super fun. Then spend the rest of your time there sampling the different beers and sharing a flight. Here is my Illinois brewery guide! […]
