We are officially into week two of our COVID-19 quarantine, and I think it is safe to say I am starting to lose my mind. Both Mitch and I do still have to go to work, so at least we have an excuse to leave the house, but we are both such social butterflies so this has been hard for us.
If you are working from home or not able to go into work at all and stuck at home, I am sure by now you have pretty much exhausted all tv shows and movies. Especially if you are with your S.O. it may be hard to find things that you both agree to watch while you are stuck at home.
A few weeks ago I shared all the shows I have been binging lately. You can read it here! These are great options while you are quarantined in your house. However, if you live with you S.O. he may not approve of these more girlie shows.
I figured I would round up what Mitch and I watch together to hopefully give y’all some ideas on what to binge next. Mitch and I have watched or are currently watching all of these shows together, like religiously. He cannot watch an episode without me and vice versa.
What do you and your boo what together??
You
A bookstore manager crosses paths with an aspiring female writer. A charming yet awkward crush becomes something even more sinister when she becomes his obsession. Using social media and the internet, he uses every tool to become close to her, even going so far as to remove any obstacle –including people — that stands in his way of getting to her.
This was a show that Mitch was not about watching in the beginning. He didn’t really know what it was about, and was real fussy when we started it. Fast forward to episode two and he was glued and we binged the whole two seasons in a week. He LOVED this show. It was so suspenseful and a great storyline. This is a great option for you and your S.O. to watch together.
Imposters
Imposters is a dark comedy that focuses on a female con artist who marries people and then disappears with their money. This addicting, action-packed series is full of twists and turns that you’ll never see coming.
Since Mitch and I enjoyed “You” so much, my mom actually recommended Imposters. She said it was slightly similar and we would enjoy it. We again binged the whole 2 seasons in under 2 weeks. We are sad that they canceled season 3, but maybe it will make a comeback??
Survivor
Survivor places a group of strangers in an isolated location, where they must provide food, fire, and shelter for themselves. The contestants compete in challenges for rewards and immunity from elimination. The contestants are eliminated from the game as they are voted out by their fellow contestants, until only one remains and is given the title of “Sole Survivor” and is awarded the grand prize of $1 million.
A show that has been running 40 seasons, I have been a Survivor fan since the beginning. I remember watching with my mom every week. Once Mitch and I moved into together I quickly added it to our rotation of shows. Mitch never watched Survivor and now he is hooked! It is a great show to watch together because it is reality tv, but it doesn’t feel like trashy reality tv at all. I could never go on Survivor, but Mitch is convinced he could!
Amazing Race
Typically eleven teams of two race around the world. The race is generally split into twelve legs, with each leg requiring teams to figure out clues, navigate themselves in a foreign country, interact with locals, perform physical and mental challenges, and travel via airplane, boat, taxi, and other public transportation options on a limited budget. The last team to arrive at the end of each leg is eliminated, while the first team to arrive at the end of the final leg wins the grand prize $1 Million.
Another show I have watched from the beginning. Being such a huge travel junkie and wanting to go and see everything in the world, Amazing Race is one of my favorite shows. I actually give a lot of my travel wishes and bucketlist places to this show. My mom actually applied to be on the show – that’s how much we love it!
This is another show that Mitch has never seen, but quickly caught on. It is one of our priorities and goal as a couple to travel as much as we can, and this definitely puts us in the travel mood.
Riverdale
I have been a big fan of Riverdale from the beginning. I recently roped Mitchell into it, and whenever we start a new week of watching TV, this is the first show he wants to watch as soon as it is recorded. He LOVES this show, and for good reason so.
If you are looking for a dark, suspenseful, sometimes creepy and just overall good binge, then Riverdale is for you. Currently season 4 is wrapping up on CW now, but all previous seasons are on Netflix. Cannot recommend this show enough!
