Mom, mother, mum, mommy, madre whatever you call her, Mother’s Day is quickly approaching. As you all know by now, my mom is my rock. She is my best friend, travel buddy, fellow foodie, and current roommate. We have been spending a lot of time together, but I know I will never get this time back so we are cherishing every moment – even if we sometimes want to rip our hair out!
I have a feeling I’m not the only daughter who has heard “I don’t want anything!” time and time again when questioning my mother for gift ideas. Mother… God bless ’em! How is it possible that the thing they always want more than any gift is more time with us?!
With just a couple weeks until Mother’s Day, don’t let time get away from you. Be sure to start thinking about and ordering for the mommas in your life! I love gifting experiences to my mom. One year we did a cooking class for Mother’s Day, or we love going to country concerts together. So when in doubt, moms just want to spend time with you, so plan something special for the two of you!
Mother’s Day Gift Guide
Anthropologie Vase – The colors of this vase are gorgeous and it would be the perfect addition to any home this spring. I always buy my mom flowers on Mother’s Day and this vase is way cuter than the plastic wrap the store gives you!
Family Cookbook – If your family is anything like mine, you have a ton of family recipes. What better way to keep them all organized than in this darling family cookbook. It would be fun to pass down from generation to generation and keep your family recipes alive!
Anthropologie Knife Set – My mom is a great cook. One of the best parts about being back home is that I get to enjoy all of her cooking. It has been fun to cook together and learn from the best. These knives are so springy with the floral design. I know my mom would love these!
Hotel Collection Candle– Anybody else travel with their mom? If so, then these candles are for her! Each scent is inspired by a luxury hotel, and it immediately transports you to paradise. Use code BASICALLYB__20 to get 20% off your order! I have these lit all over the house and mom and I can’t get over how good they smell.
Monogrammed Margarita Set – Hostess with the mostess on your hands? Odds are she definitely needs this margarita set. No summer backyard gathering will be complete without it.
Book of the Month Subscription – I think this is such a good idea for Mother’s Day. Book of the Month is a monthly subscription that lets you choose a book (or 2) each month. I have been a member for a year and absolutely love it. It is a really easy way to get early release, and some great novels from amazing authors. The variety each month is a wide variety of genres- so it also helps get me out of my comfort zone too! Get $10 off 6 and 12-month gifts with code MOTHERSYAY.
Kate Spade Card Holder – This cute little card holder is so handy! Perfect for nights out or when you have a smaller purse and your bulging wallet won’t fit. This lilac color is perfect for spring too!
Personalized Wall Art – I got my mom one of these last year for Mother’s Day and she loves it. There are so many option and quotes to make it super customizable. This would also be perfect for a Mother of the Bride, long distance mother/daughter relationships, etc.
Anthropologie Beach Blanket – I feel like moms always have everything you could ever need. I think these beach blankets are too cute! Perfect for beach days, picnics, or outdoor concerts!
Tulip Stake Set– I saw these and immediately thought these were TOO CUTE! They would make any front yard, front door entryway, back patio, or balcony extra ready for spring. They are metal and just stick into the ground. Tulips are my favorite flowers!
#Momlife Tote– Every mom has a mom bag, and this one takes the cake. It is large enough to hold everything. There has been so much buzz about these canvas totes lately I may have to get one for myself. I am leaning more towards the “Weekend Vibes” or “Beach Please” since I’m no mom!

[…] If there’s anything we realize as we grow older, it’s that our mothers deserve some major praise for raising us to be functioning members of society—and ones with good table manners too. While a nicely handwritten note or freshly baked cookies would do the trick this Mother’s Day, why not take it a step further. Grab your mama, and pack your suitcases because it’s time to go on a girls’ weekend. Check out my other Mother’s Day gift ideas here! […]
