If I had to name one thing I’ve bought in the couple years that was worth it, it’s the glorious Spanx Faux leather leggings. After snagging them at the Nordstrom Sale last summer I haven’t stopped wearing them since. They feel like the leggings I work out in, but look badass and put-together and trendy, all rolled into one.
I was worried that I wasn’t going to get my money worth with them because they are definitely more of an investment piece. I am someone who rarely wears leggings outside of the gym. I am also a believer that when you wear leggings you need to cover your booty: all of these outfits ideas do just that!
Since I got them, I’ve worn them countless ways, but since winter has rolled into town and it’s officially sweater-and-boots season, I’ve been wearing them even more. I put together 9 ways to style them!
For Sizing Reference: I am 5’3″ and normally wear a 28 in jeans and I ordered the medium petite. They definitely feel like you are wearing firm control Spanx. They suck you in, and smooth you out giving you a very flattering silhouette.
9 Ways To Style Spanx Faux Leather Leggings
Chunky Knit + Sherpa Boots + Teddy Coat
Can we talk about a cozy outfit!? A heavy knit sweater is ideal for the winter months! Throw on a ultra soft teddy coat to make it extra snuggly! Your toes will be nice and toasty in these sherpa snow boots!
Oversized blazer + Black Booties
If you’re going for a sophisticated casual look, you’ll love the look of leather leggings and a blazer. I love an oversized blazer that covers your butt and it instantly makes any outfit so chic and sophisticated!
White Button-up + Sweater Vest + Headband + Statement Boots
Sweater vests are back! I was iffy with them in the beginning, but once I learned how I liked to style them, I am here for them. I love the look of an oversized sweater vest over a white button down. Y’all know I love a headband moment, and this pink velvet one is stunning and perfect for the holidays! Throw on a pair of statement booties and this look is complete!
Oversized Leopard Sweater + Beanie + Chelsea Boots
Can you tell that I will be dressing super cozy all winter long? An oversized leopard print sweater is great because it covers the booty and is a thick material to keep you warm! I have so many leopard sweaters that it is starting to become a problem. I just think it is a perfect print!
Sequin Blouse + Black Pumps
Spanx leggings aren’t just for casual or cozy looks. Be date night ready by adding a sequin or satin blouse and some classic black pumps. The Spanx material will smooth you in and make your legs looks amazing, so might as well show them off!
Plaid Shacket + Beanie + Booties
Shackets are EVERYWHERE this year and I am here for it! Except I am slowly starting to transition into more plaid jackets because winter in Illinois are cold! But this is a classic winter outfit. Perfect for Christmas tree shopping if you ask me, or trying out a local brewery!
Black Turtle Neck + Statement Booties + Crossbody
Another great option for dressing up your Spanx leggings. Adding just a basic black turtleneck sweater means you have so many other options to accessorize! Whether it is a statement bootie, a statement bag, or in this case both! I don’t usually wear an all black look unless I have a few ways to spruce it up!
Camel Jacket + White Sneakers + Beret
Everyone deserves an “Emily In Paris” moment. I have always wanted a red beret, and I think is the year I am finally going to get one. Camel jackets are as classic as you can get. I think everyone needs a good one in their closet!
Chunky Cardigan + Oversized Tee + Sneakers
If you’re looking for an ideal traveling outfit, look no further! Not only are these leggings great for a night on the town, but they’re also great for spending hours in a car or on a plane. Pair with an oversized t-shift and comfy tennis shoes for the most comfortable, yet stylish traveling outfit!
