What is Like To Know It? How do I use Like To Know It?
These are just a few of the questions that I seem to get on a regular basis It seems like a ton of people are confused by what Like To Know It Is, how it works, and what the overall benefit of it is. Even my own close friends and family will ask me “What is that little heart in the bottom of some your pictures? Why do you sometimes have a http://liketk.it/2sJGa URL in your Instagram posts?” Once I was getting questions on the daily, I knew I had to confront this full on so I figured the best way was in a blog post!
WHAT IS LIKE TO KNOW IT AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
Y’all see that little white heart in the bottom corner of this picture? And in the caption how it has @liketoknowit tagged, as well as a Like To Know It URL, and a #LTK hashtag? Well, that’s how you know that one of my Instagram photos has been enabled through Like To Know It! So in the picture above, if you like my dress, my shoes, and sunnies, you can use LTKit to easily see where everything is from.
Okay but… what is Like To Know It? Basically, it is a social based shopping service that allows users to instantly access and purchase what their favorite influencers are wearing. The company RewardStyle is behind this technology, and creating LTKit has totally changed the online shopping game for both bloggers and consumers.
It used to only be web-based, but now the Like To Know It app has become the easiest way to shop! Here’s how it works. Download the app in the App Store and sign up. I promise it is an easy sign up that you only need to provide an email and password.
After that, hop on Instagram. If you see @liketoknowit tagged in the caption, then you can get the details on it! Take a screenshot of the picture and then go back to the app. The picture will show up instantly in the app, and will have little pictures of the items. If you click on one of the items, it will instantly bring you to the URL where the item is from, and you can purchase it yourself.
Another SUPER easy way to use Like To Know It is by opening the app, and then searching for your favorite influencers (example, just type in “brittanybakkum”) in the search bar. It’ll take you to their profile and have all of their LTKit enabled images all in one place at your fingertips. This way you don’t have to take screenshots, you can just click on any photo to see the details of where everything is from. Here’s what my LTKit profile looks like on the app! You can also use the web and enter liketoknowit.com/brittanybakkum to see all of my LTK images in one place as well.
I personally use LTKit ALL the time. I have favorite bloggers just like you guys, and I love how easy LTKit makes it for me to find out where they shop! It’s one of my favorite way to shop because of how easy and instantaneous it is; if I see a blogger wearing a pair of shoes I like, I don’t have to search high and low all over the internet trying to find them, I can just buy them with a click of a button.
So if you ever want to know where my closest comes from, or just want to know where I got something, Like To Know It is the best way to figure that out. It makes shopping SO EASY!
