9 Ways To Look Stylish In Tights This Winter

02.18.21Fashion5

Ugh, it happened again. You tore a hole in your precious black tights. (On the second wear, I might add.) How does one go about solving this problem we have all ran into a few too many times?

Tights are a closet staple that will never go out of fashion, whether you wear them for work, formal occasions, or general in the wintertime. They hide your pasty legs, while keeping you warm, so sign me up!

I’ve gotten tired of throwing out tights that rip with impressive ease, which is when I discovered UNBRK tights. The UNBRK tights are designed to be super-resistant. Their tights are made from a high quality fibre that are both elastic and resistant. They hold up to all the trials and tribulations of everyday life. You can try UNBRK tights for 50% off by using this link or code BASICALLYB50.

If you’re looking to keep warm this winter and look chic while doing so, tights are basically an essential. And contrary to popular belief, there are ways to style tights without looking like a Catholic school dropout or like you are going to your second grade school picture day.

Whether they’re plain, patterned, or fishnet, tights can be easily styled with the right dress, skirt, or even under a pair of ripped jeans.

1. SWEATER DRESS + BOOTIES + SHEER TIGHTS

Who says sweater dresses are only for fall. Wear your favorite sweater dresses all winter long with a pair of chic sheer tights!

2. LEATHER SHORTS + CHUNKY BOOTS + DOTTED TIGHTS

Leather is everywhere this winter and I am here for it. I think leather shorts are so fun. Paired with these fun dot tights, makes for the perfect date night or going out look.

3. FLORAL SKIRT + CHELSEA BOOTS

This is one of my favorite looks of the bunch. This is a great way to wear spring florals while it it still chilly outside. I love a solid pair of black tights with the detailed floral skirt.

4. MIDI SKIRT + CROPPED CARDI + BOOTIES

This look just SCREAMS cozy!!

5. RIPPED JEANS + CORSET TOP + LACE TIGHTS

Adding a pair of lace tights under distressed denim is a fun edgy look. I would definitely wear a cardigan or leather jacket over this bodysuit, but this look is great for any night out!

6. LEATHER SKIRT + OPEN BACK SWEATER + ANIMAL PRINT TIGHTS

HOW FUN ARE THESE TIGHTS!? I definitely ordered these because they seem so fun to style! I am also loving this cream color leather skirt to brighten up the outfit!

7. STATEMENT DRESS + HEELS

This is a typical winter outfit combination. But I would def stick to a solid pair of tights with a statement dress. I think bold prints and printed tights can be a little much sometimes.

8. SKIRT + OTK BOOTS

Another classic outfit combination. Over the knee boots are perfect to keep your legs warm during the winter! There are so many ways to style them!

9. CORDUROY SHORTS + VELVET BLAZER + BOOTS

This look is too cute in my opinion! I love mixing different textures. The corduroy of the shorts with the velvet of the blazer is a great cozy combination.

What is your favorite way to style tights in the winter??

[…] The beginning of spring means it’s time to swap out your pants for an airy maxi or midi skirt. But before you immediately disqualify your big chunky sweater and toss it into the “see you next winter” pile, try wearing it in a new way. Paired with a pretty and feminine skirt instead of your same old pair of pants, you’ll look ready for spring. If it is too chilly for bare legs, throw on a pair of tights! I styled tights 9 different ways here! […]
