4 Fall Transitional Outfit Ideas With Chicwish

09.12.22Fashion3

Fall is one of my favorite times of year. I am a sucker for all things pumpkin and what comes with the season! However, the weather doesn’t quite feel like all yet, so as much as I want to grab my cozy cardigan, I am not prepared for the heat stroke that will come with it.

Low and behold fall transitional style! Think of it like you want to dress for fall, but it is also still hot outside so you need to find a happy medium. I have a ton of tips I can share so you can succeed during this season.

Chicwish is one of my go to places for all seasons, but I wanted to share 4 outfits that are perfect for this awkward time between fall and summer.

Thank you Chicwish for sponsoring this post!

Sweater Vest Dress

Something that is super trendy this year is the sweater vest. I was a little weary on it, but once I got a couple in my closet I am all for it. This is perfect because they are basically a sweater without sleeves. They are ideal for layering when the temperatures drop. I am thinking white button down underneath or over a long sleeve dress. But for right now when the temps are still high, you get your sweater fix without the sweat!

I love this option because of how light it is! Upgrade your outfit game with this sweater vest dress, a shift silhouette that commands attention. Fashioned with a sleeveless design and contrast edge details, take this style from brunch to date night with an easy swap of a shoe. This is perfect right now with a pair of booties, but when it is chillier layer with a turtleneck and tights. I am definitely getting Meredith Blake vibes or the Queen B herself. I am here for the Plazacore trend!

Denim Romper

Denim is HOT this fall. From dresses, rompers, jumpsuits, everything is back to denim that are not just jeans. I am honestly here for it! I like denim is the perfect transitional material, especially in this romper. Earn some serious style points in this playsuit. Featuring a denim material with rolled short sleeves and a midi length, what’s not to love? Team with kicks and a shoulder bag to make sure all eyes are on you.

I would style this with a pair of cowboy boots or booties to add some souther flair to my look. This would be so good to wear apple picking, to a pumpkin patch or corn maze. I love to call it farmer chic. Once it gets chillier throw on a plaid shacket and you are good to go!

Belted Sweater Dress

I love nothing more than a sweater dress – they work for every occasion! Brunch? Sweater dress. Date night? Sweater dress. Work? Sweater dress. Wear them now with sneakers or a loafer. Wear them later with tights and knee high boots. Sweater dresses will get you all the way until April. Plus can we talk about how they are so comfy!? It is essentially like wearing a cozy hug.

Pleated Shorts + Sweater Tank

Now this last look is definitely for those warmer days or if you live more south and will be having summer like temperatures for another month or so. But you could also wear these pieces separate and they work just as well.

Something about a pleated short is so chic to me. I think they are so classy and great for a date night or night out. These ones are so flattering and make your legs look fabulous. Y’all know I love a color so these purple ones are the perfect shade to take me right into fall. Once it gets a little colder I will switch to a chunky sweater and knee high boots to style these!

A sweater tank is similar to a sweater vest in that it is a sweater without sleeve. Sweater tanks are usually slimmer and not as bulky. They are good by themselves now, but even better for layering under a flannel, blazer or cardigan too!

I am so excited that we are getting closer to fall. It means that the holidays are right around the corner! What are you most looking forward to fall?
